Lacrosse Attack Tips
Looking for a few lacrosse attack tips? Attackmen play a very important role in lacrosse. If you are an attackman, your job is to protect the middlemen from the opposing team's defensive players. Lacrosse attackmen need to know how to handle their stick very well because the defensive players get a longer stick. However, attackmen are allowed to use both their body and their stick to protect their middlemen.
- Move Around. One of the best lacrosse attack tips you will ever receive is to move around. If you are constantly moving throughout the game, you will be forcing the defenseman that is covering you to play you. You want to be the center of that player's attention throughout the entire game. By doing that, you will be ensuring that the player will not be able to assist the other defensive players on his team when needed. Moving around is the reason that lacrosse attackmen need to have such great stamina.
- Passing. As an attackman in lacrosse, your job is not to score. When you receive the ball, you want to pass it to one of the middlemen on your team. If you are in possession of the ball, keep an eye on the defenseman's stick at all times. Where that player's stick is will help you decide how to pass the ball. A very important lacrosse attack tip is to make all passes sharp or short and to the outside of the defensive player's body and stick. You don't want to give that player the opportunity to catch or block your pass.
- Communication. You will be playing with 2 other attackmen on the field at all times. If a defensive player is riding you hard, make sure you yell out to let your teammates know. Lacrosse is a team sport, and as such, you need to be able to rely on your teammates to have your back when needed.
