The list of the 10 best LaDainian Tomlinson stats includes some of the great records in NLF history. Tomlinson broke into the league as a phenom with the San Diego Chargers in 2001 and took the NFL by storm. A threat to both run and catch the ball, this elusive back is perhaps the best player of the 2000s.

  1. The most incredible of all LaDainian Tomlinson stats is the single season NFL record of total touchdowns in one season. In 2006 he scored 31, 28 on the ground.
  2. While setting this record, he also established the most points scored in a single season, a distinction usually held by kickers.
  3. Another remarkable aspect of LaDainian Tomlinson stats is that he had at least 1,100 yards rushing each of his first 11 seasons.
  4. As of the end of the 2010 season, Tomlinson is the sixth-leading rusher of all time, and only needs about 200 yards to crack the top five.
  5. In his career, Tomlinson trails only the great Emmitt Smith for total rushing touchdowns, with 144, 20 behind the all-time leader.
  6. Getting the idea he is a scoring machine?  One of the incredible LaDainian Tomlinson stats is that he holds the NFL record for most games in a career with at least two touchdowns (38) and with at least three (12).

  8. Tomlinson was named to the Associated Press first team three times, and to the second team once.
