Whether you are a fan or not, there is very little doubt that “King James” is a gifted basketball player. His most ardent supporters gladly point to his stellar stats to show his level of greatness, but naysayers will often bring up the argument that LeBron James has never won a championship to downplay his accomplishments.

1. Career stats average of 27.7 points per game. LeBron James is a phenomenal scorer. At 6 feet and 8 inches tall with almost 250 pounds of pure muscle, the Miami Heat star is a genetic aberration. 2. Career stats average of 7.1 rebounds per game. There are so may ways “The King” can hurt opposing teams. Thanks to his height, heft and athleticism, LeBron James is also a dependable rebounder. During the 2010-11 NBA season, James was ranked 34th in the entire league in rebounds per game. His ability to snag loose balls surpasses the efforts of some of the NBA's finer power forwards and centers.

3. Career stats of 7.0 assists per game. Unlike many scoring machines in the NBA, LeBron James is also looking to pass. Because his offense is so potent, opposing teams often throw double or triple teams against James in an effort to contain him. That usually means the defense leaves at least one man unguarded. With his exceptional court vision, LeBron James is quick to find an open teammate for a quick and easy basket.

4. Career stats of 0.479 in field goal percentage. LeBron James not only shoots in bunches, he a very accurate scorer. Although his rookie year shooting percentage was the most unimpressive season of his career, James has slowly improved his shot selection. In his last two seasons with the Miami Heat, “King James” has shot over 0.500. This makes the Miami Heat small forward one of the most accurate shooters in the NBA.

5. Career stats of 0.744 in free throw percentage. If there is one chink in his armor, it may well be his free throw shooting percentage. Even though James is improving ever so slightly, this 2010-11 season, he is only ranked 90^th in the league in free throw accuracy. For a player of his caliber, this is almost unforgivable. Considering he is frequently fouled in the act of shooting, improving his free throw percentage would mean increasing his scoring output.
