Lose Your Voice Cure
Having laryngitis or a lost voice is frustrating and it can be tough to find the right lose your voice cure. You can lose your voice for many reasons, but most commonly it is the result of a cold or from overuse. Sometimes all you can do is wait for your voice to come back on its own. Luckily, it is often possible to get your voice back quicker by following some simple steps.
Things you'll need:
- Tea
- Honey
- Lemon
- Kosher salt
- Water
- Cough drops
- Cough syrup

Drink plenty of tea. Sipping warm fluids will help soothe your throat and can often help bring your voice back. While any hot tea will help relax your vocal chords, peppermint, chamomile and ginger teas are all popular choices for their soothing qualities.

Try honey and lemon. Make your own recovery drink by mixing honey and fresh lemon juice into a cup of hot water. Drink a mug of honey and lemon water every few hours to help bring back your lost voice. The lemon is also a great way to boost your immune system if you have lost your voice due to a cold.

Try traditional sore throat remedies. Anything that you would do to soothe a sore throat is usually a good lose your voice cure as well. Cough drops are often a good idea, as are cough syrups designed to soothe and coat your throat.

Gargle. Mix lukewarm salt water and gargle several times each day to help to bring back your lost voice. One teaspoon of sea salt in an eight ounce glass of water is a good place to start.

Don't try to talk. Attempting to talk through a hoarse voice will only continue to strain your throat and do additional damage. Give your vocal chords time to recover and you'll be able to speak again soon.
