Are you looking to make your own 2.0 MySpace layout? There are many ways in which you can change the background of your MySpace page to reflect your interest, your favorite TV shows, favorite movies, and even favorite bands or actors.

You will need:

  • a computer
  • Internet access
  • a MySpace account

There are two ways in which to make your own 2.0 MySpace layout:

Background Generators - The most common way to make your own own 2.0 MySpace layout is using MySpace background generators. These generators allow for you to chose a variety of different background images and themes to truly customize your MySpace page. The instructions for this are quite easy:

  1. Chose a background generator website of choice.
  2. Select the option or link for the website's gallery. These might be split between themes and backgrounds or will be grouped together under themes, where a variety of backgrounds are included.
  3. Pick the theme and background you'd like to use. Most of these generators will have a preview of what your page will look like so you can rearrange anything you'd like.
  4. When finished, click the OK or DONE button (sometimes FINISH). You will then be taken to another page for the code that will be placed on your MySpace page. This may also show itself on the same page, at the bottom of the screen.

Inserting Your Own Code - This is for the MySpace user who knows a little bit about HTML coding. Under the preferences or options of MySpace, you are able to change your profile page, including inserting your own code to make your own 2.0 MySpace layout. There will be the standard MySpace coding here by default, but you can go through and change things around, such as changing the font or the background image.

  1. Make sure that you save your work after adding or changing a line of code. This will help to make sure that the code is correct, thus avoiding any problems, and prevent the loss of any changes in case you are logged out or lose your connection.

Learning to make your own 2.0 MySpace layout can be an easy endeavor, depending which way you decide to go. By using one of the many generators, you don't have to worry about figuring out the code in the background, especially if you aren't very knowledgeable or if you are quite used to coding, you can make an extremely unique profile page from your knowledge of HTML.
