Malibu Rum Drink Recipes

Enjoy the light taste and versatility of rum by trying a variety of Malibu Rum drink recipes. Malibu Rum is as comfortable in a selection of fruit juices and it is mixed with a chocolate flavored liqueur. Malibu Rum can be enjoyed as a hot toddy or a blend of fruit over crushed ice. There are endless combinations to try with Malibu Rum to make fantastic cocktails for any occasion.

1. Brain Candy

To make a Brain Candy, you will need:  

• 1 ½ ounce Alize Liqueur
• 1 ounce Malibu Coconut Rum
• ½ ounce Orange juice
• ½ ounce Pineapple juice
• Splash Grenadine
• Splash Ginger ale

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with alcohols, juices, and crushed ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass ¾ filled with crushed ice.
2. Top the glass with Grenadine and Ginger ale.
3. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.

2. Caribbean Sunset

To make a Caribbean Sunset, you will need:

• ¾ ounce Malibu Coconut Rum
• ¾ Melon Liqueur
• 2 ounces Cranberry Juice (chilled)
• Fresh Orange Juice (chilled)

1. Pour the rum and liqueur into the bottom of a tall hurricane glass.
2. Carefully pour the cranberry juice over the alcohol until the glass is ¾ full.
3. Top the glass with chilled orange juice. Serve with a straw.

3. Barbie Shot

To make a Barbie Shot, you will need:

• 1 ounce Malibu Rum
• 1 ounce Vodka
• 1 ounce Cranberry juice
• 1 ounce Orange juice

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.

4. Snowplow

To make a Snowplow, you will need:

• 8 ounces Hot chocolate
• 1 ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream
• 1 ounce Malibu Rum
• ½ ounce Crème de Cacao
• Ground Cinnamon
• Whipped Cream

1. Mix the hot chocolate and heat.
2. Add the alcoholic ingredients and stir.
3. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Serve hot.

5. Voodoo

To make a Voodoo cocktail, you will need:

• 1 ounce Malibu Coconut Rum
• 1 ounce Kahlua
• 1 ounce Butterscotch Schnapps
• 2 ounces Milk

1. Fill an old fashioned glass with ice.
2. Pour all ingredients over the ice, stir, and serve.

6. Malibu Rum Smash

To make a Malibu Rum Smash, you will need:

• 1 ounce Banana Liqueur
• 1 ounce Grenadine
• 1 ounce Malibu Rum
• 1 ounce Light Rum

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add all ingredients, and shake well. Strain into an old fashioned glass.

Tips and Warnings:

• When making a Snowplow, use hot chocolate mix with slightly less water than the mix calls for to make the chocolate flavor more intense.
• When mixing a drink in a shaker with ice it dilutes the alcohol. Be careful not to over shake mixed drinks.
