If you are a parent of young children residing in Southeastern Florida, you might want to research the numerous Miami-Dade County public schools. Miami-Dade County is one of Florida's biggest counties in terms of both population and size. The county is composed of many different cities and communities such as Miami, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Golden Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, Virginia Gardens and Florida City.
- South Dade Senior High. South Dade Senior High is a public high school located in Homestead, Florida, in the county's southernmost region. The high school spans 60 acres and has been in continuous operation since opening in 1953. The numerous academic departments include physical education, health science and foreign languages.
- Lake Stevens Middle School. Lake Stevens Middle School is an Opa-Locka, Florida public school that has been in existence since 1973. The student body consists of roughly 780 students. Lake Stevens Middle School provides education for students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Students of the school are required to wear uniform on a daily basis.
- Ben Sheppard Elementary School. Ben Sheppard Elementary School is a grammar school situated in Hialeah, Florida. Ben Sheppard Elementary School teaches students from kindergarten all the way up to the fifth grade. The school opened its doors in 1986. The name of the school comes from Dr. Ben Sheppard, who was formerly employed as a chairperson for the county's school board.
- North Miami Senior High School. North Miami Senior High School is a North Miami school that began education students in the autumn of 1951. The previous name of the school was Edward L. Constance Junior-Senior High School. The high school teaches ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders. Some of the recreational activites that are available include football, newspaper and yearbook.
- Ruben Dario Middle Community School. Ruben Dario Middle Community School is situated on 97th Avenue in Miami. The public middle school offers schooling for grades six through eight. Ruben Dario Middle Community School offers a three-year program in aviation and aerospace sciences, with in-depth courses on government, research, business and industry.
