Miami Heat Blogs

Whether you're a longtime fan of the team or just joining in the wake of the LeBron James signing, following the Southern Florida National Basketball Association squad can be easier and more fun by reading one of many great Miami Heat blogs. Numerous media outlets report what happens with the team, but the beauty of Miami Heat blogs is that they allow the personalities and opinions, as positive or negative as they may be, of the writers to shine through. Though many Miami Heat blogs exist, not all are equal and these five Miami Heat blogs are the cream of the crop.

  1. Peninsula is Mightier ( – Perhaps the most notable of all Miami Heat blogs, the Peninsula is Mightier operates in association with Yahoo! Sports and SB Nation. David Dwork, a passionate Florida sports fan, serves as editor of the Heat blog, both contributing a great deal of the posts and working with the other bloggers. The Peninsula is Mightier does a fantastic job engaging with their readers, including holding open thread sessions during games.
  2. Hot Hot Hoops ( – Despite moving from the ESPN TrueHoop Network to the Bloguin network, Hot Hot Hoops remains one of the hottest Miami Heat blogs around. Managing editor Surya Fernandez provides daily content as do other writers who add their opinions and analysis of the NBA team.
  3. Heat Index ( – Operating as part of the ESPN TrueHoop Network, Heat Index has perhaps the most street cred of all Miami Heat blogs as it features news, commentary and analysis from ESPN talent. The likes of Kevin Arnovitz, Brian Windhorst and Tom Haberstroh operate the blog, plus they also spread all things Miami Heat on the radio airwaves with ESPN Radio and 790 AM The Ticket in Miami, Florida.
  4. All U Can Heat ( – Comprised of editor Chris Malagon, staff writers Benny Vargas and John Friel and photographer Ed Clougherty, All You Can Heat is the Miami Heat blog in the FanSided sports network. All You Can Heat provides coverage of the NBA team as well as commentary, some of which details their reasons for hating opposing teams.
  5. Heat Gab ( – As one Miami Heat blog part of the Sports Gab Network, Heat Gab not only follows the team in the NBA but also highlights notable Heat merchandise and other goodies. Matt and Ross Loede take care of the writing and provide game recaps, commentary, rumors, injury news and videos.
