Miami Vice Drink

On a hot summer day, enjoy a frozen mixture of fruit juices and Rum by having Miami Vice drink. If you like pina coladas, you will love a Miami vice because it is made with a combination of flavored daiquiri mixes and pina colada mix. Just add rum and you have a refreshing frozen drink.

Miami Vice

To make a Miami Vice drink, you will need:

  • 5 oz rum
  • Frozen pina colada Mix
  • Frozen daiquiri mix
  1. Chill a martini glass. Rinse a martini glass with water and place in the freezer wet for 30 to 60 minutes.
  2. Mix pina colada mix with 2 ½ ounces of rum mixed with ice
  3. Mix daiquiri mix with 2 ½ ounces of rum with ice.
  4. Pour the pina colada mixture into a cocktail glass. Add the Daiquiri mixture to the top of the Pina Colada mixture in the glass. Do not stir. Serve.

Strawberry Miami Vice

To make a strawberry Miami vice, you will need:

  • 5 ounces of rum
  • Frozen pina colada mix
  • Frozen strawberry daiquiri mix
  1. Chill a tall cocktail glass. Rinse the glass with water and place in the freezer wet for 30 to 60 minutes.
  2. Mix pina colada mix with 2 ½ ounces of rum mixed with ice
  3. Mix strawberry daiquiri mix with 2 ½ ounces of rum with ice.
  4. Pour both the pina colada mixture and the strawberry daiquiri mixture into a tall chilled glass at the same time from opposite sides of the glass to separate the flavors. Serve with or without a garnish of skewered fresh strawberries with a sprinkle of shredded coconut.

Tips and Warnings:

  • To quick chill a glass quickly, fill it with ice and water for three minutes. Pour out the ice water and use immediately.
  • The mixture of fruit mixes and alcohol makes a Miami Vice drink very high in sugar and calories.
