Mile High Music Festival
If you live in Colorado, or near Colorado, you should learn about the summer Mile High Music Festival. The Mile High Music Festival takes place annually in mid August in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Wheat Ridge is close to the Denver metro area. The festival is a two-day musical event located at Dicks Sporting Goods (on the grass soccer field outside of the store). The Mile High Music Festival features a variety of rock bands (more than 20 each night) and there are also vendors and opportunities for overnight camping. All ages are welcome at the show.
The first night's line up for the Mile High Music Festival for Saturday,August 14th 2011 includes notable musicians like Jack Johnson, Steve Miller Band, Slightly Stoopid, Nas and Damian "Jr." Cong" Marley, Rusted Root, Keane, Phoenix, Cyprus Hill, the Samples (all of the original members), Keller Williams, ALO, Amos Lee, One Eskimo, Donavon Frankenrieter, Mayor Hawthorne and the County, the Motet, the Constellations, Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, Houses, the Chain Gain of 1974, Derek Trucks and the Susan Tedesch Band.
The second night's line up for the Mile High Music Festival for Sunday, August 15, 2011 features more popular rock bands and musicians including Dave Matthews Band, Weezer, My Morning Jacket, Atmosphere, Train, Jimmy Cliff, Bassnectar, Ztrip, Driveby Truckers, Railroad Earth, Ozomatli, Punch Brothers featuring Chris Thile, Trevor Hall, Matt Morris, Boombox, Oh My Stars, Joe Purdy, the Knew, Danielle ate the Sandwich, Beta Beach DJs Sunday, the Epilogues, John Common and Blinding Flashes of Light.
