Missouri Neighborhoods

If you are thinking about moving to Missouri, you may want to check out these Missouri neighborhoods before making a choice as to where you are going to live. There are many choices to list throughout the entire state, but this will give you some idea of the type of neighborhoods you can expect to find in Missouri. These neighborhoods are a combination of being family friendly, kid friendly, and even singles friendly.

  1. Lake Lotawana – The Missouri neighborhood of Lake Lotawana is located in Jackson County and was incorporated into a city in 1958. The neighborhood has its own set of rules, regulations, and governing officials. The private lake is a great fishing spot for residents and their guests. Lake Lotawana also has many community events through out the year for families to enjoy.

  2. Benton Park – This historic St. Louis Missouri neighborhood has many types of housing for families to choose from including old Victorian mansions and smaller single family homes. There are four parks inside the Benton Park Missouri neighborhood: Benton Park, Cherokee Park, Carnegie Park, and Fremont Park.

  3. Chesterfield – The Chesterfield neighborhood is located west of St. Louis Missouri. This urban neighborhood is surrounded by culture. It has art galleries and museums along with parks and an ice plex. The Chesterfield Missouri neighborhood also offers summer events such as a once a month Movie under the stars and weekly concerts in the park.

  4. Springfield – This Missouri neighborhood has lots of attractions to keep young families busy. There are numerous city parks, museums, a golf course, a zoo, and even an ice park. The downtown area offers a distinctive flair while the southern part of Springfield offers newer homes and accommodations.

  5. Soulard – Another great St. Louis Missouri neighborhood that is known for its farmer’s market being one of the oldest in America. Clubs, restaurants and local shops have been converted from the red brick homes they once were. This diverse neighborhood is one of the more pricey options. For the do it yourselfer, there are many empty shells that are waiting to be restored.
