Mod Company Of Heroes

Being a real-time-strategy game, there are dozens of options you can do to completely customize your experience and mod "Company of Heroes." There's a mod of "Company of Heroes" for just about any scenario or addition you could think of, which can make game play go on almost infinitely due to the player-created content. Installing the mods are a fairly straight-forward process, but activating each individual mod may differ slightly.

1. Find and download a mod. Mods of "Company of Heroes" can be found on nearly every gaming website that hosts downloads. Try modding dedicated sites, such as Mod DB, Strategy, or File Front,  which specialize in "Company of Heroes" mods. Browse these sites until you find a mod that you would like to download.
2. Unzip the downloaded folder. By default, many mods for "Company of Heroes" are compressed into a .zip file. This file lowers the storage requirements and decreases the time it takes to download the mod, which can be particularly useful for some of the game's larger mods. After download, you'll want to unzip these files to your "Company of Heroes" folder which, by default, is found in your "Program Files" folder.
3. View the "Read Me" file. For some mods, unzipping the uncompressed file into the "Company of Heroes" folder is enough to install and activate them. For others, such as mods that modify character models, they will need to be moved to specific places to overwrite the files they are replacing. The "Read Me" file that comes with your modification will tell you exactly how to install and activate the mod.
