- Chlamydia. Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease that can be found in many locations on your body, such as your throat, urethra, or rectum. You can receive chlamydia from oral, anal, and vaginal sex. Symptoms of chlamydia include discharge from your penis or pain while you are urinating. While it is possible that chlamydia can cause permanent damage to your body, you can treat this sexually transmitted disease with antibiotics.
- Gonorrhea. Gonorrhea, another common sexually transmitted disease, often presents no symptoms in males. If you do experience symptoms of gonorrhea, you may experience a burning sensation or pain while you are urinating. Like chlamydia, gonorrhea can be found in your urethra, rectum, or throat, and you can receive gonorrhea from oral, anal, or vaginal sex.
- Syphilis. While you can obtain syphilis by engaging in oral, anal, or vaginal sex, you can also obtain this sexually transmitted disease by coming in contact with a person that has sores. Syphilis can be found in your mouth, rectum, anus, skin, or genital area. If you have syphilis, you will often have a painless sore and/or flu-like symptoms. Like chlamydia and gonorrhea, syphilis can be treated with antibiotics, but it is possible that the sexually transmitted disease will cause permanent damage.
