Most Poisonous Spider

The title of the most poisonous spider in the world does not go to a spider that most people have heard of. When people talk about poisonous spiders, a few names come to mind. And while these particular spiders can be considered very poisonous, they are no match for the true king of the poisonous spiders. In North America, the Black Widow spider is considered to be the top killer in the arachnid world. Australians have a whole host of spiders that can be potential threats to humans. The Sydney Funnel Web Spider and the Australian Redback Spider (who looks quite similar to a Black Widow) are considered to be very venemous relative to their respective sizes. But no. If you want to take a look at the true king of the poisonous spiders, you need to set your gaze on Brazil.

The Brazilian Wandering Spider, also known as Phoneutria nigriventer, holds the title for the most poisonous spider on the block. This little terror has been documented killing a child in less than fifteen minutes with one bite. It is believed by the scientific world that the Brazilian Wandering Spider has the most potent poisonous neurotoxin of any living spider species. Apparently 0.006mg (0.00000021oz) is enough to kill a mouse. While it is true, that humans are quite bigger then mice,it is also true thatthe Brazilian Wandering Spider can deliver a dose quite larger than 0.000mg.

Over 7000 bites have been recorded from this little bugger, and only ten deaths have been reported. So, only about 2% of the victims die from the bite. That is, only 2% of the recorded bite victimshave died. What about the people that haven't reported the bites? One way or another, do you want to be the person to test the potency of the Brazilian Wandering Spider's poisonous spider bite? Probably not.
