3. Grilled T-Bone Steaks with Mushrooms  There are many grades of steaks that you can use in this recipe.  You can use sirloin, rib eye and T-bone to get the best flavor. Of course you can use any cut you choose, but these are the ones that will taste the best.

  • 1 – 1/2 pound T-bone steak, fat trimmed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup of button mushrooms, with the stem removed

  1. Light the grill one hour before ready to grill the steak.  When the grill is poker red hot, place the steak on the grill.
  2. Season the steak on both sides generously with salt and pepper.  While the steak is grilling, prepare the mushrooms.  Heat the oil in the pan.  Slice the mushrooms into thin slices.
  3. Add the mushrooms and reduce the heat to medium.  Cook the mushrooms until done and soft.
  4. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper.  When the steak is done to perfection, remove it from the grill.
  5. Place aluminum foil or a lid to cover the steak.  Allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Add the mushrooms to the top of the steak and serve.  This no carb recipe will make you want to diet for the rest of your life.
