Take the opportunity to learn paddleboarding safety and performance through paddleboard training exercises. Use a variety of exercises for well-rounded training and optimal results. Choose the training exercises that appeal most to you because this helps with your commitment level.

  1. Strength Training Upper body and back strength is essential to perform safely in paddleboarding. Use exercises like dips, curls, presses and pull-ups to round out your strength training routine.
  2. Flexibility Flexibility in your hips, hamstrings, lower back, glutes and quads are important because of the crouched position you'll maintain while performing in paddleboard practice and competition. You can achieve this flexibility through yoga, Pilates or other flexibility training techniques and classes.
  3. Yolo Paddle Fit The Yolo Paddle Fit program is a paddleboard training program developed by Yolo Boards. It's a program that focuses on core strength. which is critical for balance. They offer two workouts with multiple groups to help you work your entire body for the best results.
  4. TRX Suspension Training TRX Suspension Training is utilized by Navy Seals and requires suspension bands to increase upper body strength using only your body weight as resistance. The training does offer full body training and is portable enough so you will never miss a workout. The set comes with everything you need so no equipment or gym visits are necessary.

These tools and paddleboard training exercises can help you get in peak competition form. Remember to mix up your workout every couple of months to prevent your body from getting used to the routines.
