Paintball Guns Tips

Take advantage of these paintball guns tips to help you purchase and take care of your paintball gun.  It is an important purchase, as even the most basic paintball guns aren't exactly cheap.  Keep these paintball guns tips in mind when you come to this important decision.

  1. Rent a gun first.  Renting a paintball gun can allow you to see different features and what you might like in a paintball gun.  If you're a beginner with paintball, this can be very important to get a feel of the dynamics of different paintball guns.
  2. Get a basic model to start out.  Unless you have serious aspirations in paintball, you don't need an advanced paintball gun to start out.  Do your research and find a high-quality but inexpensive model.  Ask those around you and consult reputable sources (books, your local store) for recommendations and advice.
  3. Take care of your gun.  Clean your gun after every use.  This includes taking off the CO2 cylinder and using a wet paper towel to clean dirt and anything else on your gun.  Make sure you keep smaller areas of your gun clean, where debris can lodge (such as the ball hopper and trigger guard).
  4. Store your paintball gun safely.  Store your gun where the temperature will be kept constant.  An oily rag can wipe off the fingerprints after cleaning it, which can damage the finish, and then your gun is ready to store.  An oil cloth or canvas can wrap your gun for storage, or you could hang your gun on a rack if enough room is available.
