Learning a few paintball sniper strategies can certainly help elevate your game. Sure, paintball is a fun activity; it is a great excuse to get out of the house, run around and scream like a fool.  Even so, if you are not strategic, you will probably wind up spending more time on the sideline then actually playing the game. There is a reason why those who employ a few well thought out sniper strategies always end up winning.

To learn a few paintball sniper strategies, you will need:

  • Paintball Gun
  • Scope
  • Camouflage
  • Patience
  1. Dress appropriately. Know your surroundings. If you are playing outdoors in a wooded area, wear camouflage appropriate clothing. The key is to blend in. You cannot hope to be a paintball sniper if you stand out and are easily noticeable. On the other hand, if you are playing in an indoor or outdoor arena that employs specifically colored obstacles and shields, then make sure your clothing matches these surroundings. The more you blend in, the better you chances are in paintball.
  2. Get to the high Ground. Snipers in paintball or in any type of war always have the advantage when they have the high ground. This is because you have the best view and are normally harder to see. So if you really want to dominate the game, find a spot and try to keep it.
  3. Be on your guard. While getting the high ground does have its advantages, it is also fool hardy to stay in one position too long. In paintball, sooner or later your opponents will discover your sniper position; before this happens you need to move. A good strategy is to use your sniper position to take down a few people; at the same time, be on the lookout for a more advantageous spot. Then, after a few shots, make a move.
  4. Be patient. The best strategy in paintball is to be patient. Those who spend their time running around never last. So, while it is a good idea to not stay in one place too long. It does not do you any good to run around from place to place after only a few moments. If you want the best results in paintball, remain in one position and wait for your prey to come to you.
