Pheromones have been shown to attract the opposite sex, and now these products can be found at a pheromone store. These pheromone stores have popped up all over the country, but caution should be taken when buying a pheromone product because many of them are bogus and do not contain enough pheromones to do any good.
A pheromone is a hormone that is produced internally and sends a message from one body to another. The signals they send could be sexual arousal, fear, aggression or many others. They are even capable of altering the menstrual cycle of women that live together. A person’s tendencies or mood can increase the effect of the pheromone. Pheromones purchased in a bottle can also intensify the effects of the pheromones. Pheromones are not miraculous in terms of sexual attraction, but they play a subtle part in everyday interactions of people.
There are three groups of pheromones in mammals. Releaser pheromones cause behavior to change almost immediately, such as aggression or attraction. Primer pheromones have long term effects such as altering the menstrual cycle in women. Information pheromones carry information about a person's like fitness or the immune system.
Pheromones reach our skin through the aprocrine glands (human scent glands) from the hairy areas of our body. The eccrine glands, where sweat comes from, help to disperse these secretions. Some pheromones are associated with testosterone and others with estrogen. People with high levels of these hormones release more pheromones. These pheromones can tell a lot about the internal makeup of the person and their health.
Detecting pheromones is not a conscious process. The molecules are detected by the vomeronasal organ (VNO) inside the nose that transmits information to the hypothalamus which controls emotions and sexual activity. It can cause a powerful feeling of chemistry with another person without explanation. Pheromones can also trigger a relaxed mood, feelings of happiness, desire to have sex, or alter your perception of how attractive you are.
There are many pheromones, but these are the major ones: Androstenone, enhances the male dominance perception and causes females to be sexually aroused; Androstanone, makes women engage in conversation that is sexually promiscuous; Androsterone, promotes a sense of trust between potential mates; Androstenol, reduces inhibition and allows for sexual arousal when combined with other pheromones; Dehydroisoandrosterone, controls odor and how pheromones are released in the air; Epoxyestratrienol, may help with a woman’s irritability when ovulating; Tetrahydrodeoxycorticosterone, has powerful “pheromone-like” activity that lasts several hours after exposure; Oxytocin Analog, creates a deep connection and feelings of trust that are strong; and, Copulins, a female pheromone that increases men’s testosterone levels.
When looking for a pheromone store, there are many hoaxes so look for a pheromone store that stresses science, not advertising. Research the manufacturers of these products carefully. Check for the amount of actual pheromones that are in the product. Some products have such a trace amount that they absolutely do not work. If you buy products such as colognes, oils and perfumes from a trusted manufacturer, they will work!
