If you need some ping pong tips to improve your game, you may be in luck. With a bit of practice and time, you can improve your ping pong game. Use these ping pong tips to beat your friends in your next game.

  1. Work on incorporating spin in your game. In ping pong, spin is considered to be a little on the advanced side. However, with a partner, you can practice incorporating spin. Start with just one and see how you can introduce it into a friendly match. For instance, work on applying top spin to your shots, not forgetting to mix things up with other types of shots.
  2. Practice returning serves. If you have a partner, take some time to work on returning serves in ping pong. This is one area that is commonly neglected.  Have your opponent vary speeds and spin on the ball in order to improve your reactions and ability to return serves.
  3. Move your feet! Ping pong is not without footwork, and this represents another neglected area. Practice moving your feet, which will help you with your balance and your game.
  4. Mix things up. For any topic within ping pong (serves, defense, smashes, normal hits), it is important to mix things up. Hitting to opposite sides, applying different types of spins, and varying speeds will confuse your opponent. The better you can do this and change things up on your opponent, the better ping pong player you will become. Don't be afraid to experiment with different locations, speeds, and spins to achieve this.
