Plugged ears remedy works for most people because there are several types of ways that you can rectify the problem. Most plugged ear problems occur as a result of a cold or some type of sinus infection. Here are several remedies and items that people use to cure their plugged ears.
You will need the following:
- baking soda
- warm water
- bulb syringe
- saline nasal spray
- chewing gum
- You can try flushing your plugged ear by taking a bulb syringe and squirting it into your ear. Make sure that you fill the syringe with warm water and baking soda and as your ear is flushing you will see wax draining out of the ear. This often time alleviates the symptoms of a clogged ear as a result of wax buildup.
- If your ear is plugged as a result of sinus pressure you will have to clean out your sinus area in order to relieve pressure from your ear. The best way to do this is by cleaning your nasal area and that can be done easily by using a saline nasal spray. Once your sinuses are clear there will be no more leakage in the ear area causing discomfort.
- A plugged ear due to altitude causes the eustachian tube in the center of the ear to be plugged. The best way to release ear pressure from high altitudes is to open and close your jaw slow and wide. This will activity slowly release the pressure in your ears and can be done easily by chewing gum or yawning. Once the pressure is released from the eustachian tube the plugged ear will no longer be plugged.
For those that do not enjoy the old home remedies to unplug their ears you can always take an antihistamine like Benadryl. An antihistamine will work for your plugged ear but the time frame for healing will still be about the same.
