Prince Albert Piercing Procedure
The Prince Albert piercing procedure involves piercing the tip of the penis. It can be a great way to express your individuality in an unconventional way. If you choose the right piercing parlor, this procedure can be almost completely pain-free. It’s very important to choose a reputable piercing parlor with experience completing the Prince Albert procedure.
To complete this procedure, you will need:
- Disinfectant
- Anesthetic
- Piercing cannula
- Ring opening pliers
- Ring and ring ball
- Disinfect the piercing area. Use a Betadine swab or other disinfecting agent to make sure the tip of the penis, the penis shaft and the surrounding area are disinfected. Use the disinfectant solution generously and let it sit on the skin for at least two minutes.
- Anesthetize the penis. Inject 2% Xylocaine jelly directly into the penis via the urethra. Then, inject 2% plain Lidocaine into the skin of the tip of the penis. The Lidocaine should be injected on the same spot you plan to piece. These injections will anesthetize the area to make the Prince Albert piercing procedure pain-free.
- Wait a few minutes. Then, touch the tip of the penis lightly with a needle. If the area is properly anesthetized, the needle prick won’t be felt.
- Push a piercing cannula into the hole in the tip of the penis. Then, allow it to pierce the skin on the other side and come back out of the tip of the penis where you want the Prince Albert piercing to go.
- Attach the ring for the Prince Albert piercing to the end of the piercing cannula. Pull the cannula back through the penis and urethra and through the hole in the tip of the penis. The ring will come with it.
- Attach the ring ball to the ring to close it. This can be done by gently expanding the loop with ring opening pliers, placing the ball inside the space and then removing the pliers. Push gently on either side of the ring using the pliers to close the ball in tightly.
These steps for completing the procedure included using anesthetic. Be aware that not all piercing parlors will use anesthetic. If you have sensitive skin or if you’re particularly nervous about the pain involved, take time to research a piercing parlor’s Prince Albert procedure prior to getting your piercing done. Do not try to do this on your self or on anyone else unless you are a trained professional!
