A quick intro to the history of Porsche will take us deeper into the realm of these spectacular automobiles. The history of Porsche starts with its founder, Ferdinand Porsche. He was an engineer, German by birth, and was the primary engineer at the Mercedes Benz showroom at Stuttgart. Porsche's trophy accomplishments are evolving racing cars, airplanes and war tanks for the Wehrmacht during his years as the technical director of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft. Porsche was the mastermind behind designing the Mercedes compressor racing car that won the Torga Flario race. He produced a similar design with the help of others.
The ending of World War II brought imprisonment for Ferdinand. When he got released, he produced the first vehicle under his own name, with the help of his son Ferry Porsche. The car was called the Porsche 356. It had a four-cylinder rear-mounted boxer engine, just like the one in the Volkswagen. They requested Erwin Komenda to develop the car in his workshop. Komenda later became in charge of design techniques for Porsche.
A month later the lightweight roadster brought a glorious victory to the Porsche name. The Porsche 550 Spyder also won a multitude of titles. The company, encouraged by its success, launched the Porsche 911, which was a totally unique blend of power and craftsmanship, a six-cylinder boxer engine sports car which was air cooled. The structure designing team of this ride was led by Ferry Porsche’s son Alexander Ferdinand Porsche.
The designing of this car brought complications with Erwin Komenda, who had presented his version. Ferry, not satisfied with Komenda’s choice, protested that the design had been submitted without his approval and took his son’s drawings to Reuter’s workshop for development, which later got adopted by Porsche and was named Werk II.
Reuter later became a chief producer and is now known as Keiper-Recaro. The projects to follow were named sequentially but one coincided with Peugeot’s trademark X0X series and had to be changed to adapt with 911. Racing models managed to carry their correct numbering. The Porsche 911 has proved to be the most successful car in the history of Porsche.
The 911 is the only model still in production, even now. With the passage of years and constant revisions and renovations, the car has only one feature reminiscent of the original car: the mechanical concept of a rear engine and a six-cylinder coupe.
During the 1990s, Porsche produced a cost-friendly car, with the body of the 911 and the engine of the Porsche 356. They named it the Porsche 912. This year brought Porsche profits that went over the graph because of this model.
Constant achievements expanded the development section to forty head authorities working on the most famous 911 design. In 1999 one of the designers, Anthony R.
