Quick Intro: Ryan Sheckler
Born December 30, 1989, professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler has accomplished many things in his young career. From business owner to teenage heart-throb Ryan Sheckler is sure to catch your attention. Sheckler wants to make it into the world record books as one of the greatest skaters who ever lived and is currently travelling around the world to make that happen.
At the age of 18 months, Sheckler was already rolling around on a skateboard, and doing ollies when he was just 4-years-old. Later in life, Sheckler was runner-up and winner of the U.S Open of Skateboarding, gave runner-up performances in the Gravity Games Amateur Challenge and the Best Trick Contest against pros at the Jockey Core Tour. Year 2003 was the year he turned pro. In the 2003 X-Games he was the only skater to land every trick attempted. A few years later in 2007, Sheckler became the first skater ever to win an AST championship three years in a row. In 2008 he took home a gold medal and first place at "Thrasher" magazine's Bust or Bail contest, a win he states is one of his best yet.
At the age of 17, he made the cover of "Skateboarding" magazine. A year later, Sheckler re-appeared on their front cover again and "Transworld Skateboarding" magazine, where he was interviewed twice. He is now one of the leading members of the Plan B skate team. His ultimate goal, "Thrasher's" Skater of the Year award, has yet to come.
Besides gracing famous skateboard magazines, winning medals and competitions steadily, Sheckler has his own TV show on MTV called "The Life of Ryan", which premiered in 2007 sending his stardom and popularity levels soaring.
