Recipes for the break fast of Yom Kippur with roast are in huge demand with people looking for great recipes to celebrate Yom Kippur. If you are in search of such a recipe, look no further! Among the recipes for the break fast of Yom Kippur with roast, a popular recipe is that of the duckling roast with orange rice.

Ingredients for preparing duckling toast with orange rice:

  • Two ducklings of average size
  • Common salt one tbsp.
  • Two oranges of small size
  • One cup of pure orange juice
  • Half cup of currant jelly
  • Half cup of water
  • Corn starch four tbsp.
  • Rice four servings

The list of ingredients for duckling roast with orange rice is pretty small, and we shall now proceed to the steps you need to follow in order to prepare one of the most wonderful recipes for the break fast of Yom Kippur with roast.

  1. Pre-heat the oven: As you do for preparing any other roast, preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prepare duckling halves: While the oven is getting pre-heated, wash the duckling halves and get them dry. Once the duckling halves are almost dry, sprinkle the cavities of the halves evenly with salt.
  3. Bake the duckling halves: Take a shallow roasting pan and place the two halves of the duckling skin side upon it. Place the pan in the oven which has been pre-heated and bake the duckling for two hours.
  4. Prepare the oranges for the sauce: The next step in preparing this recipe for the break fast of Yom Kippur with roast is to make the sauce ready. Peel the oranges and remove the white fibers too. Use the rind to cut the oranges into pieces approximately one inch in length. Boil water in a pan and then simmer the orange pieces in it for a quarter of an hour. Then the orange pieces are drained completely. When dry, peel and section the orange pieces.
  5. Make the sauce: Now mix the orange juice, currant jelly, water, and the corn starch well and blend the mixture until a lump-less liquid is obtained. Then cook the blended mixture until it becomes thick like a sauce.
  6. Apply sauce to the duckling halves: Once the sauce seems appropriately thick and cooked, add the sectioned pieces of oranges to it. Remove the duckling halves from the oven and apply the sauce prepared to each piece generously. Again place the duckling in the oven and bake. Keep repeatedly applying the sauce to the duckling halves for the last half hour while baking them.
  7. Stir the roasted duckling with sauce and orange pieces well with the rice and serve hot.

Now, you can dive into one of the most mouth watering of recipes for the break fast of Yom Kippur. As much as the occasion of Yom Kippur itself, roasted duckling with orange rice is a very special dish and would raise your mood for the celebration.
