  • 1 package of macaroni (1 pound), cooked
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground meat (sirloin is desirable, but not necessary)
  • 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium size onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seed and chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes in juice
  • 1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce


  1. Place the oil, onion, jalapeno and ground beef in a large skillet. Brown the meat and onion mixture until the meat is done.
  2. Add in the garlic cloves and the seasonings. Add in the tomato sauce and mix well.
  3. Add in the tomatoes and two cups of water. Bring the chili mac recipe to a boil and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the ground beef mixture and mix well. Season this ground beef recipe with additional salt and pepper as needed.

Healthy Cabbage and Ground Beef Recipe

This is one of the easiest recipes you can ever make and once you make this ground beef recipe with cabbage, you will be adding it to your regular weekly menu.  You can substitute other meats such as ground veal or chicken.


  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped


  1. Place the oil in a large skillet and heat. Add in the ground sirloin along with the chopped onion.
  2. Brown the ground meat and onion together. Add in the chopped garlic cloves and all the spices.
  3. Add in the clopped cabbage and cook until the cabbage has wilted and still a bit crunchy. Serve this ground beef recipe with some healthy whole wheat bread.

Sloppy Joes Recipe

Now who doesn’t like sloppy joes? Sloppy joes are easy to make and no extra condiments are needed. Just place a few tablespoons of the sloppy joe mixture on a toasted bun and serve.


  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef (sirloin preferred)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 package chili seasoning mix
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (8 ounces each)
  • 4 whole wheat rolls


  1. Place the oil in a non-stick pan and heat. Add in the onion and the ground beef and cook. Brown the meat and then drain off any excess fat in the pan.
  2. Add in the brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar and chili seasoning. Mix all the seasonings well with the browned ground beef.
  3. Add in the tomato sauce and mix well. Cook this ground beef recipe for three minutes more.
  4. Make sure the meat mixture is void of most of the liquid. Place a few tablespoons of the meat mixture on each bun and serve.
