Samsung Projection TV Troubleshooting: 5 Tips

1. No Power. These tips only apply if the LED lights located on the front of your Samsung Projection TV are not blinking. If they are blinking, move on to the next tip. If your Samsung Projection TV will not power on, you may need to reset the television. To do this, disconnect both ends of the power cord from your Samsung Projection TV and the electrical outlet that the television is plugged in to. Wait 2 minutes and then plug your Samsung Projection TV back in.
   
2. Blinking LED Lights. When the LED lights that are located on the front of your Samsung Projection TV are blinking, the most likely cause is a defective lamp. If the stand by and timer LED lights are blinking, the cooling fan in your Samsung Projection TV is not working. If the stand by and lamp lights are blinking, it means that the lamp cover is not secured. If all 3 lights are blinking, the lamp may be defective.
   
3. Large Picture. If the picture on your Samsung Projection TV is too large to fit on the screen, you are probably in the wrong picture mode. Press the Zoom button on your Samsung Projection TV remote control to make sure that you are not in Zoom1 or Zoom2. You can also toggle between different picture modes, such as 4:3 and 16:9, to see which mode fixes the enlarged picture.
   
4. No Audio. Your Samsung Projection TV is equipped with a feature called Internal Mute. If this feature was accidentally turned on, then you will not be receiving any audio from your Samsung Projection TV or connected devices. To turn the Internal Mute off, press the Menu button on your Samsung Projection TV remote control and use the arrow keys to scroll to the Audio menu. Hit Enter and then locate the Internal Mute submenu. Use the down arrow to turn the Internal Mute off and then hit Enter to save these changes.
   
5. Picture Noise.  Picture noise on your Samsung Projection TV can occur when you are using an HDMI cable to watch analog television. This issue can be resolved by using video or coaxial cables to connect your external device to your Samsung Projection TV. When you are using an HDMI cable for analog television, the picture is being up-converted to 720p twice, which causes the grainy picture.
