The Sandlot’ Actors: Where Are They Now?

Fans of "The Sandlot" love the kids in the movie. "The Sandlot" actors have grown up and moved on, but they will always be remembered for their roles in this movie. "The Sandlot" is a fan favorite movie about friendships and baseball. Scotty Small moves into the neighborhood and becomes a part of the haphazard baseball team. Filled with quirky kids and silly antics, "The Sandlot" isn't a game about winners and losers. Instead, it is a fun look at friendship and life growing up. Where are some of those "The Sandlot" actors now?

Tom Guiry: Scotty Small. "The Sandlot" is told through Scotty Small's perspective. The character was played by Tom Guiry in his second acting role. Where is Tom Guiry now? Still acting. He's been in a number of movie and TV roles, although most of them weren't huge box office hits. He played Jimmy Donnelly in the TV show "The Black Donnellys." He has a new movie coming out in 2011 called "Joint Body," about a parolee who tries to fix his life with the help of a stripper.

Mike Vitar: Benny "The Jet" Rodriquez. Since he was loved by many for his role in "The Sandlot," you would think that Mike Vitar would be a very famous actor now. After his role in "The Sandlot", Vitar appeared in "D2: The Mighty Ducks," and "D3: The Mighty Ducks," but didn't do much more acting. Where is Mike Vitar now? He's a firefighter for the Los Angeles Fire Department. You can find photos of him from a LAFD calendar all over the Internet.

Patrick Renna: Hamilton "Ham" Porter. Patrick Renna is the easily recognizable, chubby, freckle-faced, redhead from movies, commercials, and TV. We loved him in "The Sandlot" and also as the goalie in "The Big Green," another family sports film. Where is Patrick Renna now? Still acting, but like Tom Guiry, he hasn't been in any huge blockbuster films. You can find him in the horrorfest movie "Dark Ride" and in "Life Blood," a movie about lesbians who become angels.

Chauncey Leopardi: Michael "Squints" Pelledorous. Leopardi played the cute, geeky Squints in "The Sandlot." Where is Chauncey Leopardi now? He's grown up and not as geeky. Well, that depends on where you've seen him. He's still acting, although like the rest, he hasn't done anything big. He's had a lot of small roles in movies and TV shows. He reprised his role as Squints in "The Sandlot 3," and appeared with Patrick Renna in "The Big Green." Look for him as Kyle in "The Gilmore" girls, where he plays a not-so-bright best friend.

Marty York: Alan "Yeah Yeah" McClennan. Ah, adorable Yeah Yeah. How many girls looked at him and just knew he'd grow up to be a very good-looking young man? This young actor was going somewhere thanks to "The Sandlot." Where is Marty York now? A segment on TMZ in June of '09 claimed that York was arrested for domestic violence against his girlfriend. Through his Myspace page, he would later plead for fans to help him pay his bills. On top of all that, he looks like a steroid addict who waxes his eyebrows. So sad, Yeah Yeah. He did just finish filming a short movie called "The Trainer," so there is still hope.
