• Computer with internet access
• Yahoo email address

1. Start the process of sending a text message from your computer by logging into your yahoo email account. If you don’t have a yahoo email account, sign up for free so that you can utilize the easiest and most efficient way of sending a text message from a computer. Keep in mind when creating your yahoo email account to send your text messages, that whatever your username is what will show up on the person who you are communicating with phone.
2. Go to your yahoo mail contacts. Update your contacts with the person you want to send a text message to and their cell phone number. To do this simply click the “add contact” button and then input all of your information; keep in mind that the only important information is their name and cell phone number so that you can text them.
3. After you have added your contact that you want to text, go back to your contacts list. Under the name of the contact you want to text, you should see their mobile number in blue. Click this number, and a tab will open on your yahoo mail where you can type and message and hit enter and it will send a text message. When you receive a text message from this person, you will see it appear in the box above where you entered the message.
