Shreveport casinos are an excellent way to have a good time while visiting the beautiful city. Casinos are a great way to bring a group of people together that are bound by getting lucky and the desire to win. Shreveport is a coastal town and has many visitors each year coming for some of the local attractions, however, the casinos are the guilty pleasures of locals and travelers alike.

  1. Eldorado Resort Casino. This mega-casino has a three story high entertainment pavilion. This Shreveport casino houses more the 1,400 slot machines and 60 gaming tables. Its a gambler's delight! Not only does the casino have the best gambling in Shreveport, but it also has a relaxing spa and state of the art equipment center. For the hungry gambler, there is "The Vintage." This is the casino's fine dining restaurant with gourmet food and an extensive wine list. However, there is also a low-key buffet that has themes such as the Mexican and Margarita Fiesta on Tuesdays and the steak and seafood special on Fridays.   2. Sam's Town Hotel and Casino. This Shreveport casino doesn't merely house just blackjack tables. The 30,000 square foot building has plenty of entertainment space for wonderful performances by some of the most popular acts around. This casino has over 1,100 slot machines and 30 tables. Because of this casino's size, it is a popular destination for business conventions and banquets. The food is something of note as well. The fine dining restaurant known as, "William B's Steakhouse" serves up some of the finest beef in Shreveport. There is also the "Smokey Joe's Cafe" which specializes in hot and spicy Cowboy-Creole food. Of course the buffet proudly displays its wonderful array of ethnic foods.
