- Wolf Ridge Ski Resort. For those interested in skiing near one of North Carolina's largest cities, Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is the place for you. Located just 30 minutes from historic Asheville, NC, North Ridge Ski Resort features 19 slopes that are serviced by two quad lifts, two double chairlift, and single surface lift.
- Appalachian Ski Mountain. When skiing in North Carolina, be sure to check out Appalachian Ski Mountain. Located in Blowing Rock, NC, this wonderful ski area is situated in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Appalachian Ski Mountain offers ten slopes and plenty of lighting for night skiing. Additionally, the resort features a 6,000 foot ice skating rink.
