  • Large saucepan
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced


  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


  1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, Parmesan, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, garlic powder and beaten egg in a large bowl.
  2. Mix well and form into 12 balls.
  3. Store, covered, in refrigerator until needed.


  1. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat until onion is translucent.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, salt, sugar and bay leaf.
  3. Cover and reduce heat to low, simmer 90 minutes.
  4. Add in tomato paste, basil, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and the meatballs and simmer an additional 30 minutes.
  5. Serve over pasta of your choice.

White Clam Spaghetti Sauce

You will fool your guests into thinking that you slaved over this incredibly easy and impressive white clam sauce. In fact, you will fool yourself.


  • Small saucepan
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams, with juice


  1. Brown the garlic in your olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the butter and seasonings until butter is melted.
  3. Add clams with some of their liquid, heat through.
  4. Toss with thew pasta of your choice and serve.

* Sprinkle Romano or parmesan cheese on top for an added flavor bonus.

Green Vegetarian Spaghetti Sauce.

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro
