Spring cleaning gives people the chance to thoroughly clean their residence and wash away the winter blues. From scrubbing windows to cleaning carpets, tidying will be much easier when these spring cleaning tips are kept in mind.

1. Make a plan with realistic goals. Write down the areas of the residence that needs cleaned, make a list of products needed and find out the amount of time that can be used for cleaning. A duster, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, chemical cleaners, rubber gloves, dish soap, wash rags, sponges and more are needed for spring cleaning.
   
2. Start with one area at a time. Cleaning an entire house or apartment can be frustrating, and some men will become unmotivated before they finish. Begin spring cleaning with one room at a time to see quicker results. Start cleaning the bathroom first; wash windows, clean the toilet, scrub the floor, wash the bathtub and more. After the bathroom is cleaned, start with another room.
3. Organize items inside plastic containers to unclutter. One of the best spring cleaning tips is to separate items in three bins named: "items to keep," "get rid of," and "maybe." Throw all trash and unneeded items in the "get rid of" container, and put items needed in the "items to keep" container. If someone is unsure if he should keep something, he will put it in the "maybe" container.
4. Remember the spring cleaning basics. Often, people forget to wash windows, clean light bulbs and wash blinds. Avoid forgetting the small things about spring cleaning by cleaning rooms from top to bottom. Wash the windows, dust light bulbs, clean blinds, and change your bedding.
5. Clean the carpets and rugs. One of the most important features of a house or apartment is the carpeting. Synthetic carpet will look almost new after using a shampooer, which will cleanse the carpet with hot water a soap, and it will dry with open windows. Wool and other delicate carpets will be cleaned by a professional carpet cleaner.
