Star Wars The Clone Wars Games
"Star Wars: The Clone Wars" games are a bunch of video games for the latest game platforms. They are based on the continuing saga of conflicts in the Star Wars universe. These video games are primarily based, though, on the Cartoon Network CGI cartoon series that premiered in 2008. The series has also spawned some successful video games across many platforms.
- "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels." One of the first games to capitalize on the TV series' success, this "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" game is for the Nintendo Wii and references scenes from "The Clone Wars" TV series' first season, as well as the earlier film of the same name. The game allows players to control ten heroes and villains from the series.
-
"Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Jedi Alliance." Another video game for the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" series, this one is for the Nintendo DS, the handheld and portable gamer. This game was a total tie-in to the TV series on Cartoon Network, and the critics received it well, giving it generally high marks for the action-game side of things.
-
"Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes." From 2009, this "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" multi-platform video game features a newly created story line and takes place, chronologically, in between seasons one and two of the TV series. The game has an ambitious scope, letting you play 40 missions in its entirety. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes" also gives players the option of playing as Jedi characters as well as Clone trooper characters.
