Are you looking for stye eye relief tips to relieve the discomfort of this eye condition? If so, there are several things you can do find relief of this eye condition, but first it is important to know how to define the condition. An eye stye is a bacterial infection that plants itself on the edge of the eyelids and affects one of your eyelash hair follicles. It gives the appearance a boil or a pimple, and it occurs when the base of the small glands become infected with staphylococcal bacteria.

Things you will need to find relief from a stye eye:

  • Warm water
  • cotton fabric
  • Ocusoft Lid Scub or Bausch and Lomb Eye Wash
  1. Obtain a clean cotton fabric. Place the fabric in the warm water and squeeze the excess water out. Take the warm moist fabric and place on the stye eye for about 10 minutes. The warm compress helps to fight the infection, do this two to six times per day. You might notice a crust formed on the eye stye. This is normal and usually nothing to worry about and is the body own method of healing.
  2. Buy an over the counter medication to help you find stye eye relief. Over the counter medication you could use include Bausch and Lomb Eye Wash or try a medicated pad such as Ocusoft Lid Scrub. Read and follow the manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Leave the stye eye to heal on its own. It is possible for the stye to go away on its own. Thus, if you do not want to treat the stye condition, leave it alone and let it heal on its own. Avoid the temptation to squeeze or pick the stye because this might make the condition worse.

Tips: It is a good idea to not to wear any eye make or contact lenses when you have a stye as these items may aggravate the condition. If your condition does not improve or becomes worse, contact your medical provider because your eyes may need eye drops or antibiotic eye ointment. Be prepared for the possibility also that your doctor may drain the eye stye if it comes too big.
