There are many things to do in Georgia. Whichever part of your state that you decide to visit, there is always something interesting to do. Georgia is a beautiful state and the tea is almost as sweet as the people living there.
- Saint Patrick's Day in Savannah. The city by the river knows how to get things flowing in the green for St. Patrick's Day. This is one of the best things to do in Georgia if you are feeling particularly Irish. They have an amazing parade that features plenty of bag pipes, beautiful horses, and marching bands. Add the open alcohol container policy with a warm atmosphere, green beer is the only thing that can quench your thirst.
- Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. This aquarium houses thousands of fish and water life. Any trip taken to Atlanta wouldn't be complete without visiting the already famous Georgia Aquarium. As far as things to do in Georgia is concerned, this aquarium is massive in size but it is only to keep the gigantic whale sharks nice and cozy in their aquariums.
- The Master's Golf Tournament in Augusta. This golf tournament is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world and definitely a thing to do in Georgia. Each April, Augusta plays the role of the courteous Southern hostess to thousands of golf fans with delicious pimento cheese sandwiches and sweet tea. The lush, green landscape strikes awe in so many visitors that they flock each year to see it - that's if they can get passes.
- University of Georgia Football Game in Athens. The colors red and black will take on a new meaning when visiting Athens during football season. To say the least, the tailgating is something to partake in. However, the University of Georgia football games are what southern culture is all about.
