1. Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. One of Nashville’s highlights, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates the tradition of country music. Inductees include Roy Clark, Jimmy Dean, Glen Campbell and Hank Williams. Exhibits explore the history and lives of country music singers. It also contains an oral history archive.
2. Ryman Auditorium. A historic landmark, the Ryman Auditorium housed the Grand Ole Opry until 1974. On occasion, musicians perform concerts in the building. You may tour the building and record your own CD.
3. Grand Ole Opry. If you are in Nashville, you can catch a show at the Grand Ole Opry. The historic Opry has performances throughout the year. 8. Parthenon. Built for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, the Parthenon reminds its citizens that it is the “Athens of the South.” A replica of the famed Greek building, the Parthenon serves as an art gallery.  Events at the Parthenon include lectures on archeology and ancient architecture. 10. Tennessee State Capitol. This building is one of the few state capitols that does not have a dome. William Strickland designed the structure.
