If you enjoy listening to music in the rap genre, it might interest you to learn about the T.I. biography. T.I. is an Atlanta, Georgia-born rapper and music producer. The recording artist was born in the Bankhead section of Atlanta on September 25th of 1980 as Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. Apart from his stage name, T.I. also is known by the nicknames of "Rubberband Man" and "King of the South." As a child, the rapper was known as "TIP." To show respect for fellow rapper Q-Tip, T.I. took off the letter "P" and became what he is known as today. The name "Rubberman Man" came from the fact that, as a child, he utilized rubberbands to signify his lack of money (by stretching them in or out). T.I. was reared by his grandparents.

T.I. has been a force on the music scene since his debut release came out in 2001. His first album is called "I'm Serious." Some of the artist's most noteworthy hit singles include "Live Your Life," "Whatever You Like" and "Why You Wanna." He has collaborated with many well-known music stars, such as Rihanna and Justin Timberlake.

In early 2009, T.I. encountered some legal issues. Because of felony weapon charges, he received a one year jail sentence, and was also ordered to pay a six-figure fine. He is also subject to drug counseling, financial auditing and random property searches. He is not permitted to own firearms.

T.I. is married to Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, and they have two children together. Their wedding ceremony took place in late July of 2010.
