Who is Tiger Woods's wife, or shall we mean ex-wife? Tiger Woods's only wife was Elin Nordegren, and you must have been buried under a rock if you have not heard the steamy details on this marriage. A marriage made in heaven? Well, in the beginning, many thought it was indeed a marriage made in heaven. The marriage would end and this once presumed marriage made in heaven would cost $750 million dollars, the largest celebrity divorce settlement on record so far. So who exactly is this multi-millionaire wife of Tiger Woods?

Elin Nordegren was born in Sweden on January 1, 1980. Her parents were Barbro Holmbery, Governor of Gavleborg County, and Thomas Noredgren, radio journalist. She has a brother named Thomas and a twin sister named Josefin. They grew up in a town called Voxholm, located outside of Stockholm. Her parents would later divorce when she was six years old.

Elin enjoyed sports and played soccer a lot. She worked hard and did some summer jobs with her twin sister Josefin as cashiers in a supermarket. Elin’s first love was that of becoming a child psychologist, and she enrolled in Lund University to pursue her dream. However, in the year 2000 she met Bingo Rimer, a famous photographer. She appeared on  Cafe Sport  magazine modeling a bikini. Elin was never very interested in becoming a model, although she had the body and the looks and could have went on to a career as a model.

While she was working on one of her part time jobs to support her university studies, she met a woman named Mia Parnevik, wife of a Swedish golfer. She was later hired to be a nanny of the woman and moved with her to Florida to take care of the couple's four darling children. She would always be teased as the nanny who caught Tiger Woods.

In 2001, she would meet the famous Tiger Woods, and she was not that impressed. He had to ask her out more than once before she agreed. Tiger’s persistence would pay off and in November of 2003 Tiger Woods and Elin would become engaged. They were married in October of 2004 at Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados. Woods rented the entire golf course and 110 rooms for his wedding. The wedding was attended by Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Bill Gates and Charles Barkley, to name just a few.  

The couple would have two children, a girl, Sam Alexis Woods and a boy, Charlie Alex.  It seemed that Tiger Woods and Elin had the world by a chain and they were the envy of everyone. Tiger had it all. He was the number one golfer, marketing many products. He had his trophy wife and little did she know or anyone else know that all of this was not enough.

The dream marriage would fall apart in November of 2009 when it was reported that Tiger had an affair with a woman named Rachel Uchitel. There was an accident on the couple's property and Elin reportedly had attacked Tiger in his car. Tiger would later deny those reports and say his wife acted courageously in helping him. Elin was devastated and she was humiliated by what would soon come out. More women would come forward and claim they had been involved with Tiger Woods and the marriage would dissolve.

In August of 2010 the couple is divorced and Elin became a very wealthy woman. Did she make the right move divorcing a billionaire? She would get a $750 million payout and it came with some stipulations. Elin must remain quiet and not talk about the many affairs of Tiger ever, even after his death.

Divorce is never a pretty picture for anyone involved, and it appears these two have made their bed and now must lie in it. In the end. who suffered the most? It must be stated that the children are the ones who will suffer the most, not the bickering parents.
