Top Ten Country Songs
No matter what country chart you are looking at, you are sure to see some of these top ten country songs and artists on them. Some songs are calculated by the amount of sales of the single or album, and others are calculated by the number of downloads that are purchased on the internet. Either way, they are among the country’s top country songs.
- “Don’t You Wanna Stay” by Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson. His album titled “Some Kinda Party” was released on Broken Bow Records in November of 2010 featuring fifteen songs. Some of the other songs besides “Don’t You Wanna Stay” include “Country Boy’s World,” “Days Like These,” and “My Kinda Party.” Jason’s career includes two platinum albums out of the four he has released, and twelve hit singles.
- “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” by Thompson Square. This song is featured on Thompson Square’s debut album by Stoney Creek Records titled “Thompson Square.” The husband and wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson join together to bring you Shawna’s classic country style and Keifer’s singer-songwriter talents. “I Got You,” “If It Takes All Night,” and “Getaway Car” are also featured on this album.
- “Back to December” by Taylor Swift. This song is featured on Taylor’s newest album titled “Speak Now” along with thirteen other songs including “Last Kiss,” “Dear John,” and “Innocent.” Taylor wrote each song to tell someone something she should have said to them before but didn’t. She has sold over nineteen million albums worldwide and 33 million singles up to February of 2011.
- “Colder Weather” by Zac Brown Band. This song is included on their 2010 album entitled “You Get What You Give.” “Let it Go,” “Knee Deep,” and “No Hurry” are also featured on this album. They have recorded four studio albums and have had five number one singles on the Billboard Chart. They have also won numerous ACMA awards.

- “Let Me Down Easy” by Billy Currington. This was the second country single released from Billy’s fourth studio album released in 2010 titled “Enjoy Yourself.” Critics say this album wants to make you laugh and dance and sing. - “Voices” by Chris Young. This country song was included in Chris’ 2009 album titled “The Man I Want to Be.” It was originally released in mid-2008, but was re-released in mid-2010 after his two number one singles “The Man I Want to Be” and “Getting’ You Home.” The song has spent a total of 51 weeks on the Hot Country Songs with both releases.
