The top 10 wrestling moves in pro-wrestling are difficult to pinpoint. Every wrestler and fan have different thoughts and opinions on what constitutes the top 10 wrestling moves.

  1. DDT. A common maneuver, this rounds out the top 10 wrestling moves. The DDT was made famous by Jake "The Snake" Roberts and is very effective at stunning an opponent. A wrestler grabs an opponent with their head under their arm, then drops the individual head-first to the canvas.
  2. Sharpshooter. Bret "The Hitman" Hart utilizes this amazing submission hold, and his niece, Natalya, uses it as her finisher. It's worthy of being in the top 10 moves list. The wrestler positions one of their legs between both the opponent's while that person is laying on the mat on their back. The wrestler then locks the opponent's legs around their own and reverses them onto their back, arching to apply pressure on the person's quadriceps and lower back.
  3. Figure Four Leglock. Ric Flair and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine made this move legendary. It is an extremely convincing painful maneuver that quickly has opponents tapping out. It's only fitting for this one to appear in any top 10 wrestling moves list. A wrestler gets their opponent on their back on the canvas and wraps one of their legs around their own, then locks on the opponent's other leg, trapping it with their own as they seat themselves. Pressure is applied to the individual's knee.
  4. Sweet Chin Music. The amazing Shawn Michaels made this move famous. Also known as the Superkick, this move is definitely worthy of being on the top 10 wrestling moves list. A wrestler performs this move by rushing across the ring to kick their opponent in the jaw. Both wrestlers must be standing for it to be executed.
  5. Tombstone Piledriver. The Undertaker regularly uses this maneuver in the WWE. It requires a great deal of skill to properly execute this move, which is absolutely worthy of being on the top 10 wrestling moves list. A wrestler lifts an opponent in their arms upside down and facing their midsection. The wrestler then drops to his knees but gives the illusion of dropping the opponent on his head.
  6. Boston Crab. Rick Martel used this as his finisher in the WWE back in the '80s, and Chris Jericho uses it as the "Walls of Jericho." A very effective submission hold, it is definitely a top 10 wrestling move. A wrestler grabs their opponent's legs while the individual is laying on their back on the mat. They then turn the other wrestler over onto their stomach and arch slightly back, which puts pressure on the downed person's lower back.
  7. Dropkick. There is no way to have a top 10 wrestling moves list without including this one. The dropkick is a graceful and very effective move utilized regularly in many matches. This move is performed when a wrestler jumps up high and connects with both legs to kick their opponent down to the canvas.
  8. Moonsault. Another graceful, even acrobatic move, the moonsault is one of the top 10 wrestling moves. WWE diva Lita used it as her finisher and executed it to perfection. Executed from the turnbuckle with an opponent laying on their back nearby or standing over an opponent in the middle of the ring, a wrestler flips their entire body in the air and lands to connect with their opponent stomach-first.
  9. Superplex. This move is basically a suplex, but the fact that it is executed from the top turnbuckle makes it even more spectacular. It is absolutely worthy of being called one of the top 10 wrestling moves. It is performed from the turnbuckle, with an opponent seated on the top. The wrestler chases the individual up and suplexes them from the second or top turnbuckle.
  10. Powerbomb. Another move that is used frequently in matches, this is the last of the top 10 wrestling moves on this list. There are several varieties of this move, which add to its appeal. A wrestler initially positions the opponent's head between their legs, then lifts them up in their arms so that they are facing them. The wrestler then drops the opponent down back-first to the mat.
