The Toyota Yaris recall was conducted because the automaker found out that there is a very high probability that if a serious accident occurred the seat belt could cause a fire. Toyota recalled 135,000 Yaris cars and the problems were found in mostly the Yaris sedans and hatchbacks. Officials at Toyota verified that dealers should fix the problem without charging customers.

If you own a Yaris, you should try to obtain information about the Toyota Yaris recall. So far, we do know that the company has stated that there has been no deaths reported that are directly related to the defective seatbelts. Several customers have reported that they have had problems with there Yaris vehicle in the past. For example, some customers stated that Toyota new about these problems a few years ago and did nothing to fix the problem. Contact Toyota if you drive the Yaris hatchback or sedan if you do not receive a recall letter.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that there is a ToyotaYaris recall because the company did not meet a federal safety standard. The vehicles were sold without the load capacity labels for the tires and rims.  This recall affected the Gulf States Toyota and the Southeast Toyota companies. Dealers were instructed mail customers the correct label or the customer could go to the dealer and get the label installed for free. Keep in mind that just because your Toyota Yaris has been recalled, it does not mean that you do not have to pay any money.

In the mean time, the Toyota Yaris recall is adding more problems and raising more questions about the quality of the Toyota products. No one is going to drive a Yaris if they know that there is a chance that the car might catch a fire when it is in an accident. There is suspension that Toyota found out about the seatbelt problem because it actually happen in Japan but it has not been proven. Do not take any chances, if you own the Yaris or any other vehicle, and you suspect a problem(s) contact the dealer or the manufacturer immediately, it may save your life.
