Treasure Island Music Festival
The Treasure Island Music Festival is an annual event that showcases thirteen artists in each of its two-day lineups (two days for the event). The musical acts are also coupled with other activities for the attendees to engage in as well. Here are some basic facts about the Treasure Island Music Festival.
Location. The Treasure Island Music Festival is held in Treasure Island, California. As the Festival is held in the middle of September, some wind and rain that is associated with this location can pose problems. With the limited parking on Treasure Island, a shuttle from AT&T Park in San Francisco, as well as other measures, are used.
The music. With two stages playing simultaneously, guests are generally able to see all of the acts that take place for the Festival. Thirteen artists are included on each day of the Treasure Island Music Festival. In terms of the music, artists generally fall within rock and indie rock categories, though electronica and hip hop/rap is also seen.
Other activities. In addition to the primary focus—the musical acts—the Treasure Island Festival also has a range of other activities and events taking place. Comedic acts, including musicals can be viewed at the event. Recently the Festival has expanded their carnival theme to allow for games, such as Skee-Ball, to be played by attendees.
