Treatment For Broken Toe

That is the main way to treat a broken toe, but there are a few remedies you can do while time passes to heal the broken toe.
To treat broken toe, you will need:
- Ice pack
- Pain reliever
- Bandage tape
- Loose fitting shoes or slippers
- Get an ice pack. Another option is to make an ice pack out of a washcloth and chopped ice.
- Ice the broken toe. Put the ice pack on the broken toe for at least 1 hour to dull the pain.
- Take a pain reliever. A pain reliever like aspirin or another option that works for you will help dull the pain.
- Get bandage tape. Select the properly sized width of bandage tape. For the big toe, select a tape at least 3/4 inch wide. For the little toe, use a tape 1/2 inch and use 3/4 inch for all other toes.
- Wrap the toe with bandage tape. Wrap the tape once around the affected broken toe and tape to the nearest straight toe. Run the tape around both toes so that the broken one is held in place by the healthy toe.
- Replace the tape after each shower. Allow the broken toe to remained taped at least 3 weeks.
- Wear loose fitting shoes. To ease the pain of a broken toe, treat it well by wearing loose fitting shoes or slippers to prevent rubbing.
