The tips below will help you get the most out of your Treo 700p.
- Bluetooth. The bluetooth compatibility of your Treo 700p allows you to pair your Treo 700p with any bluetooth enabled device, such as a hands free headset, a GPS, or your personal computer. Before you can pair your Treo 700p with your bluetooth device, you need to turn the bluetooth on in your Treo 700p. To do this, go to Applications and select Bluetooth. Select On and then select Setup Devices. Click on Trusted Devices, then Add Device, and the Discovery icon will appear. Make sure that your bluetooth device is turned on, otherwise your Treo 700p won't be able to locate it. Once your Treo 700p finds your bluetooth device, enter the PIN, if needed, and click OK.
- Sync. Your Treo 700p is able to sync itself with your computer so that you can easily transfer media. Before you can sync your Treo 700p with your computer, you need to insert the Palm Software Installation CD that came with your Treo 700p. If you don't have the CD, head on over to the Palm website to download the program. Once you have the software installed, launch it and connect your Treo 700p to your computer via the USB cable that came with your Treo 700p. That USB cable will have a sync button. Press the button when your computer prompts you to and you'll be good to go.
- Email. VersaMail is the program used by your Treo 700p to access your personal email accounts. VersaMail supports many popular email account services, such as AOL, Comcast, Gmail, Verizon, and Yahoo!. To set up your email account on your Treo 700p, go into your Applications and select Email. The setup wizard will guide you through the process. When you get to the Mail Service screen, select your email provider. You will then be prompted to enter your email username and password.
