In order to rotate your torso, start from the hips and roll from side to side as you are taking each stroke. Also, you will find that this another great way to reduce drag.
- Maintain a horizontal position. This is one of the most effective triathlon swimming techniques that help athletes become competitive. When swimming, it is essential that your body remains in a horizontal position. To do this, don't kick too hard. You will want to kick slow enough so that your body remains straight and your feet are at the surface of the water.
- Use sighting. This is something you will need to add to your motions. Sighting is an important triathlon swimming technique because you will need to keep an eye out for buoys so you can make sure to remain on course. You will want to add this tip to your breathing technique. As you are taking a breath, sight the buoys.
