Tribal tattoos for men are commonly placed on the upper arm as a band or on the upper back between the shoulder blades. Tribal tattoos generally only contain black ink, and the designs are bold thick patterns. There are many designs to choose from when picking a tribal tattoo for men. Men like tribal tattoos because of the simplistic design and boldness.

  1. The armband tribal tattoo designs are popular because they can be placed on the arm where a simple short sleeve shirt can hide the tattoo when necessary. It is also an appealing site because it can be shown off easily. The upper is also popular because of the limited hair growth in the area. This makes the tattoo more visible.

  2. The middle of the shoulder blades is a great surface for larger tribal tattoos for men. The expanse of a man's back makes the perfect canvas for larger tattoo designs. Again, it is a great choice because of the limited hair growth in the area.

  3. The sleeve tattoo is a larger tribal tattoo design that can cover a large portion of the arm and shoulder. This a a popular location for tribal tattoos for men.

  4. The calf is another great choice for tribal tattoos. This is another place that can be easily covered up if needed or can easily be shown off, especially in the summer with a pair of shorts. The down side of having a tribal tattoo on the calf is that they do have to shave your leg in order to do this. The hair regrowth can be itchy and if you are a hairy man, the tattoo may not show very well.
