Trophy Deer Hunts

Whitetail trophy deer hunts are the dominate outdoor sports objectives for North American hunters. Amateurs and pros alike share the same goal—to harvest the buck of a lifetime. Unless you still have access to non-pressured public hunting property, claiming that trophy buck is becoming slimmer due to a steady growing number of deer hunters. However, there are solutions.

Things you'll need:

  • Hunting club membership
  • Hunting property
  1. Save money to hunt an outfitter. Hunters who decide to make bagging that trophy deer a definite dream come true will set up a savings account specifically for that purpose. Some hunters save up for ten years or longer, as these particular types of hunts are usually expensive. Outfitter trophy deer hunts are usually guaranteed, making the hunt less of a challenge.
  2. Join a hunting club. Since public hunting land continues to populate with deer hunters, more and more outdoorsmen are pulling together and forming deer hunting clubs. This way members of the club can balance the ratio between hunters and trophy deer hunts, increasing chances to harvest the one that haunts their dreams. Members usually pay yearly dues to help with lease and management costs.
  3. Buy your own hunting property. For many hunters, this option presents itself as the best solution for trophy deer hunts. Not only do you have full control over land management, you have an undisturbed opportunity at any monster buck on the property. This will allow greater success in your whitetail trophy deer hunts.
  4. There are also alternatives to whitetail. Mule deer and blacktail deer make great trophy deer hunts. Exotic deer, such as fallow deer and sika deer, are available on exotic hunting preserves and are generally cheaper than that of a whitetail deer outfitter.
