Twitter Apps for iPhone  Gone are the days when there were just a handful of twitter apps for iPhone.  There are quite a few choices out there, some of them are free and some of them require subscriptions or upfront fees.  The good news is is that there are quite a few free applications that work as good as the ones you have to pay for.

  1. Tweetdeck. This is an extremely popular application that works very well via iPhone.  Tweetdeck is easy to manage and control.  Get speedy updates with this app – view all tweets in real time.
  2. Twitbird.  This twitter app for iPhone comes in three versions: free, premium, and pro.  Users like this iPhone app because it’s super fast and easy to navigate.  There’s support for multiple accounts and an address book feature.
  3. Tweetie.  Acquired by Twitter in 2010, the mobile app was renamed—surprise—Twitter.  Select from three different themes with this popular twitter app for iPhone.  It has a one column layout that some users will prefer to distracting multi-column layouts.  Tweetie has many features that users find easy to navigate.
  4. Seesmic.  Seesmic actively supports Twitter and lets you update numerous social networks at once.  You can also customize this app to your needs.  Seesmic is a very efficient, and free, iPhone app.
  5. Echofon.  This application automatically syncs with your computer and iPhone to manage unread tweets.  It also has the ability to notify you of mentions and messages.  Echofon also has a paid, pro version which removes all ads.
  6. Brizzly.  Formerly known as Birdfeeder, this Twitter app for iPhone features the ability to upload pictures to Flickr and Brizzly Pics.  It supports multiple accounts and you can also customize navigational features.
