Need to know that the UFC 111 Fight Card is?  This March 27th, the UFC will be back in action with UFC 111: St-Pierre vs Hardy. This event features some of the top fighters in the business throwing down at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.  The main card features 5 fights, with two of them being title fights.  UFC 111 will air live at 10 p.m. (Eastern Time) on your local pay per view channel.

The main event for UFC 111 is Georges "Rush" St-Pierre vs Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy for the Welterweight title. This fight is sure to be a good one as it pits some of the top fighters against each other. St-Pierre, who is the obvious favorite and title holder, has been out of action since UFC 100 last July. He is coming into this match on a 6 fight win streak. His opponent, Dan Hardy, is on a 4 fight win streak and some believe he has a chance to knock GSP out.

Also on the fight card is the interim title bout between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. The winner of this match will take on the current UFC heavyweight champ, Brock Lesnar, later on this year. Carwin was scheduled to fight Lesnar last year, but after Lesnar got sick Carwin had to wait.  He will now have to fight his way back to title contention. The former heavyweight champ, Frank Mir, is coming off of a big win against Cheick Kongo and will look to take his momentum into this fight.  This fight is sure to be a good one as both guys are well rounded fighters and are always in exciting matches.

Other matches on the UFC 111 fight card are:

  • Ben Saunders vs Jake Ellenberger
  • John Fitch vs Thiago Alves
  • Jim Miller vs Mark Bocek

UFC 111 definitely looks like it will be a good fight card with lots of action.  To watch this event you should contact your cable company or see if any local sports bars are showing it.
